Một số các thành ngữ dùng với giới từ On the beach: trên bờ biển Along the beach: dọc theo bờ biển In place of = Instead of: thay cho, thay vì. For the most part: chính là, chủ yếu là = mainly. In hope of + V-ing = Hoping to + V = Hoping that + sentence = với hi vọng là. off and on: dai dẳng, tái hồi all of a sudden= suddenly = bỗng nhiên for good = forever: vĩnh viễn, mãi mãi.

The newspaper, today , plays is vital role in human affair. Its importance has not been diminished by the apearance of the radio or the tv. Men no longer travel to get information.The newspaper has become the main source of information about local and foreign affairs.Though the radio and television convey important news and message quicker than the newspaper, the seldom give the details of the newspaper, on the other hand give not only more detail about particular incident but it also contains more new items.this is great importance today when political change occur with rapidity unknow before .besides the newspaper is easier to carry and it could be read at any time during the day .Further,it permamence of print word helps one to refresh one's memory of certance facts and incident reported in the past
The newspaper of the newspaper has been increased greatly by the spread of education . Education of sharpens one's curiosity about events in distant lands and also make conscious of the necessityto maintain one's reading habits. In both respects the newspaper appeals most especially if one finds little time to read books

The importance of agriculture

Since the time man learnt to grow crops, agriculture has been the main soure of his food.Nowaday most of the people in all part of the world,especially in the developing country, are engaged in agricultural activities
man is mainly a grain-eating animal. In asia most of people eat rice,In europe, north america and autralia wheat is the main food crop..Where rice and wheat cannot be grown,millet andand other cereals are grown as food crops.though man also cats meat, he enjoys eating meatonly when he takes it together with rice orbread which is made from wheat. It is therefore clear that grainsare the main source of man's food and grain agriculture's products.
But man,however.cannot live on grains alone.He need other foods too to make his meal for palatable. He has therefore also learnt to grow vagetables, potato,and tomato,fruits.Like grains these thing come from the soil. They have to be plant and grown with great cars.As the result, man has made many experiments.on soil for several centuriesto increase the producetion of crop. Men have also learnt to consume dried leave to fresh themselves.Tea and tobaco, the dried leaves of certain plants, have become very popular as source of refreshment. even coffee and cacoa are products of plant.We also have cotton,jute and other fibres which we use make cloth and several other things for our daily needs .All these plants have therefore become very impotant in agriculture.
In some countries, agriculture is the main source of wealth,the rubber tree and the oil-palm in Malaysia bring million of dolar every year .. in bangladest .the jute plant is the main sourceof wealth. Similarly,in almost every country there is at least one plant which makes a great contribution to the economy of the country .When all there are considered,we arrive at the conclusion that agriculture must remain as the most important occupation man.

My hobby in free time

Almost everybody has some kind of hobby. My hobby are listening to music.I am very fond of music. When I have a free time, I often listen to my favorite songs from a computer. At weekends, I usually go to music shops in the downtown areas to buy good CDs. Of the famous pop singers, I prefer WESTLIFE,SHAYNE WARD,MICHEAL LEARN TO ROCK AND BACKTREET BOY.


I spend an hour after dinner to listen to my favorite song and search anywhere to find out a new song.everyday i often listen and sing some song what i like but i don't spend alot of time for researching about music because i know Music is large subject.

As you know in the world have many kind of music,pop.rock,jazz,opera...etc. the music impacted to emotion of people so much .it can change emotion of us,when you're bored with someone or you have a problem that make you tired , music can help you to relax.One more thing, music can connect everyone in the world although every nation have various culture.

I think that music is very useful.it widen my knowledge, relax my mind, and make me feel better about myself.

my favorite sport

My most favorite game is Football. It is a world famous game.

Football is such a popular game that it is played even in the most remote corner of my country. People walk long distances to watch a football match. Even old people enjoy watching this game.

To play this most interesting, I go to the field near my house where my friends wait for me every late afternoon. My friends also love this game very much. We play until dark.

But it is a very hard game. It requires a lot of strength to kick the ball. They must also be skillful in controlling the ball. All this makes the game a difficult game indeed. Playing football however help us healthy and active.

I shall always love this game.

My Mother

I'm sure that the most important person in my life is my Mother .when i was boy ,my father has passed away in traffic accident ,almost hardship of my family was resolved by my mother .

My mother is 53 year old .She is not beauty but she look very gently and there is sometning attractive about her.She is very sweet and kind to the children.She very busy with the housework from early morning until late at night.Since i have gone to the university,i have lived away from my mother ,so far away let me visit my ralationship and my mother always .I only can go to my village three time a year so i feel to miss my mother a lot.

I remember when i was a boy ,each time my mother come back home from market she has bougth foe me many sweet,toys.That's the time i felt happily.

My mother is farmer. i was born and grow up in poor countryside near small river ,my country is small town ,old days all of people in my country was lived from agriculture.My family's life was very difficult. My Mother alone looked after 4 brothers and provide for us many good condittion to help us grown today

At last i want to say that i love my mother so much.

Why are good books good teachers and friends?

It is often said: “Tell me what you are reading and I will tell you who you are”.

For me, a good book is always a good teacher guiding me through life as well as a true companion encouraging me and consulting me in my desperate straits.

Nobody denies the important role of good books in developing man’s knowledge. The more we read valuable books the more we become wise and experienced. By reading books, we can get rid of all prejudices and narrow-mindedness. We can no longer live in The Ivory Tower like a recluse and therefore we can get along with other people around us easily.

Next, good books are true companions who always share our joys and sorrows in our daily activities. Are you in low spirits and disappointed in your affairs? Read wise advice through books by profound scholars and authors. Are you sad? Read subtle humorous stories of well-known humorists in the world. All your sorrows and disappointments will vanish at once.

the Bum

The Bum

A bum approaches a well dressed gentleman on the street. "Hey, Buddy, can you spare two dollars?" The well-dressed gentleman responds, "You are not going to spend in on liquor are you?"
"No, sir, I don't drink," retorts the bum.
"You are not going to throw it away in some crap game, are you?" asks the gentleman.
"No way, I don't gamble," answers the bum.
"You wouldn't waste the money at a golf course for greens fees, would you?" asks the man.
"Never," says the bum, "I don't play golf."
The man asks the bum if he would like to come home with him for a home cooked meal. The bum accepts eagerly. While they are heading for the man's house, the bum's curiosity gets the better of him. "Isn't your wife going to be angry when she sees a guy like me at your table?"
"Probably," says the man, "but it will be worth it. I want her to see what happens to a guy who doesn't drink, gamble or play golf."

English is the most useful language. Being good at English, we can travel to any place or any country we like. We shall not find it hard to make others understand what we wish to say.

The English language has therefore helped to spread ideas and knowledge to all the corners of the world. There is no subject that cannot be learned in the English language.

Lastly, as a person who knows English easily get more knowledge from many parts of the world, he or she is respected by people. It is for all these reasons that I want to learn English.
